Dr. Katie Stipes - Veterinarian

Dr. Katie Stipes, a devoted veterinarian at Helena Veterinary Clinic, hails from Cullman, Alabama, where she graduated as salutatorian from St. Bernard Preparatory School. She then pursued her passion for all things biology at the University of Alabama, earning her degree while proudly cheering, "Roll Tide!"

Dr. Stipes continued her education at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating magna cum laude in 2011. Since then, she has practiced in the Birmingham area, focusing on preventative medicine, compassionate care throughout all life stages, and dermatology. Her dedication to providing high-quality care ensures that every pet feels comfortable and receives the attention they deserve.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Stipes embraces her role as a “chaos coordinator” for her two wonderful boys, managing the excitement alongside her husband, Chris. She is also an animal lover at heart, sharing her home with an impressive 9 pets: two spirited Scottish terriers (Bonnie and Clyde), three affectionate cats (Nola, Darby, and CheezWhiz), and four slider turtles (Jim, Michael, Dwight, and Squirt).

An enthusiastic fan of Alabama sports, Dr. Stipes is also a proud member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Her passion for both her family and her profession shines through in her commitment to the health and well-being of every pet that comes through our doors at Helena Veterinary Clinic.
