Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Jodi Turner-Bloch now resides in McCalla, Alabama.
She embarked on her educational journey at Berry High School, graduating in 1985. Pursuing her passion for biology, she earned her degree from Montclair State University in New Jersey in 1998. However, her love for animals led her to Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2002.
Dr. Turner-Bloch has been dedicated to the veterinary field for many years, beginning as a Veterinary Emergency assistant from 1994 to 1998. Her experience expanded while working in the Critical Care Ward at Auburn University and a small animal clinic during her studies. Post-graduation, she has built a diverse career in Emergency Medicine, small animal practices, and shelter medicine at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
An animal lover at heart, Dr. Turner-Bloch shares her home with seven rescue animals: five dogs, a horse, and a very naughty donkey. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and animals. Married to her husband, Jeff, for 31 years, they have a daughter, Julianna, who is currently attending UAB.
In addition to her veterinary career, Dr. Turner-Bloch has an interesting past as a flight attendant for American Airlines, based in New York, before completing her undergraduate degree. This unique experience adds to her dynamic background and well-rounded character.
